Hello everyone!
This is going to be my first experience with blogging....I realize that the title is a bit "futuristic"....I am not yet a Jorrey, but I felt as long as I was going to be starting a blog, I might as well use the name that will be there for the rest of my life, rather than the one that will be there for the next 7 months....
I have to say that I am quite excited about this whole blog thing, because it means that people are going to be reading about us because they want to, because they choose to visit our blog and see what is going on with us, not because they are forced to read our status updates on facebook.
For the next few months, this is probably going to be focusing on the wedding planning, although we may occasionally through in a few updates on other random happenings in our life. Right now, wedding planning is going great...we have the date, the time, the place(s),the food, the flowers, the photographer, and have picked out our cake person. We have already registered at one place (and even received a gift!) but still have a couple more places to put in our gift requests :). We are still working on invitations and a DJ, but have some leads and will hopefully get that done in the near future.
Right now, the wedding plans are on hold, because I am currently in the process of trying, and I stress the word TRYING, to study for my boards. I swear, six years went by way too fast....so now I am at that point where I must re-certify as a physician assistant. I technically can do this at any time in the next year, but choose to try and get it done now, so that I can then focus on the wedding and on our new life together.
You will probably rarely, if ever, see a post from Brian on here....it's just not his thing. But he's doing great....he started a new job last month at a new, and better, hospital. So far, he is enjoying it and seems to be much happier at the new place. The management in general is much better, and that is definitely a plus from his last position.
Well, I am out of things to say for now....hopefully I didn't bore you too much, and I look forward to sharing our wedding plans, and our life adventures, with you all!
